Welcome to Cofesa

Since 1989 Cofesa has grown into one of the largest and most successful Confederations of Employers in South Africa with more than 25 offices countrywide and 150 consultants and client liaison officials. We render our services to some 6500 direct members (employers), and 1500 indirect members. We are committed to service excellence; the effective management of Human Resources and Industrial Relations.

The challenges presented by legislation can be effectively managed by being acutely aware of their requirements, assessing their impact on the organisation, and formulating a plan to ensure legal compliance. Not every employer has the time or infrastructure available to dedicate sufficient resources to the effective management of human resources and industrial relations. That is why you will get excellent and affordable service at Cofesa:

We provide professional advice to our members regarding all aspects of labour legislation and a multitude of other relevant laws to ensure legal compliance:

  • Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995
  • Basic Conditions of Employment Act, 1997
  • Sectoral Determinations
  • Bargaining Council Agreements
  • Skills Development Act 97 of 1998
  • Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998
  • UIF and Tax Legislation (U I F)
  • Compensation for Occupational Injury and Diseases Act 130 of 1993 (WCC) (COID)
  • Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993

  • Companies Act, No 71 of 2008
  • Extension of Security of Tenure Act 62 of 1997
  • 26 years of sound advice, assistance and representation to members
  • 25 offices countrywide
  • More than 150 consultants and client service advisors
